Healthy Snack Bars

Snacking doesn't have to be bad. Our foodie Isaura is showing you how to make healthy snack bars.

Recipe Peanutbutter-Brownie Bar
First layer:
- 100 gram walnuts
- 50 gram white almonds
- 100 gram (pitted) Medjool dates
- 25 gram 85% pure dark chocolate
- 2 tbsp raw cacao powder
- pinch sea salt
Second layer:
- 100 gram (pitted) Medjool dates
- 50 gram white almonds
- 100 gram peanut pieces
- 4 tbsp peanut butter
On top:
- 50 gram 85% pure dark chocolate

How to make:
To make the first layer: the brownie layer > pulse dates, walnuts, almonds in the food processor and pulse until well combined. Add the cocoa powder and a pinch of salt and pulse again. Put the paste in small silicone molds or one big brownie mold. Press until flat using your hands or a spoon. Pop in the freezer for about 15 minutes.

To make the second layer,  the peanut butter layer > process dates, almonds and peanut pieces and pulse until small bits remain. Add the peanut butter and process again until well combined. Press on top of the brownie layer. And freeze again for at least 15 minutes.

While the bar is in the freezer you can start melting the chocolate (au bain marie). So when the bar is hard enough you can spread the chocolate on top. The chocolate will get hard very quickly because of the cold bar.
Storage the bars in the freezer. Let the bars get to roomtemperature before you eat them.
